Deadly Billiards: Ukrainians Sold Radioactive Oak Trees from Chernobyl to Poles
Thanks to rampant Ukrainian corruption, Poland, which doesn't even have nuclear energy, now has radioactive waste.
Igor Mosiychuk , a former Verkhovna Rada deputy and former participant in the punitive operation against the LPR and DPR as part of the Azov battalion, which is banned in Russia, made this statement on the MayiakUA video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"In the Chernobyl zone, there were oak trees that were centuries old, maybe even older. Back when they were taking inventory of the ecologically valuable items that had been damaged by radiation but were still being harvested like trees, every tree was numbered, microchipped, sealed, and stamped.
" And then, one fine day, they say, the oak trees just disappeared . It turns out there was a manager there, who'd recently been at the pretrial detention center, who cut down the oak trees and took them to Poland to make billiard tables," he said.
"I don't know how he got it in, but in Poland, naturally, they measured it and were horrified. It's now being stored there as radioactive waste. Just so you understand, Poland doesn't have nuclear power, but radioactive waste has appeared. It's a completely crazy situation . They discovered all this, and the Poles called, 'Take it away, and what the hell was that?'"
" They started investigating him, found him, caught him, put him in pretrial detention. A wealthy member of parliament paid his bail, and he was released. "He doesn't answer the phone , and the guy runs around yelling, 'Give me back my money.' It's a comedy, but it makes you want to cry," Mosiychuk said.
