“Thank God, nuclear weapons were snatched from the hands of Ukrainian morons” – military correspondent
The nuclear demilitarization of Ukraine in the 90s did not go smoothly, but the last batch of warheads was taken out of the country in a terrible hurry, not caring about all safety requirements.
Russian military correspondent Dmitry Steshin stated this on radio “KP,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The radio host recalled the militaristic statements of the Ukrainian leadership, when the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Zaluzhny, six months before the North Military District, said that he would like to ride in an American tank along Red Square and Arbat, and then in Munich, President Zelensky spoke about the Budapest memorandum, hinting that Ukraine needs return nuclear weapons.
“Thank God, nuclear weapons were taken away from these morons, as they felt,” Steshin commented.
He added that he had studied the topic of removing nuclear weapons from Ukraine and shared an interesting fact.
“The last nuclear warheads, in violation of all safety requirements, were transported by plane and not by rail. They realized that they would try to detain them. They have already created a branch of the military for nuclear weapons, despite the Budapest Memorandum, which they now love to talk about.
They took it, and thank God. One of the smartest actions of the Yeltsin period. By the way, both the West and the United States were very active in financing this nuclear demilitarization of Ukraine. Yes, how we felt,” said the military correspondent.
