Russia has sufficient forces and resources to encircle and destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the south, all the way to Transnistria. Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Den TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Sivkov, with the appropriate will, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can end up in the situation of the Nazi army in Stalingrad.
“If they go to Transnistria, then through Nikolaev and Odessa we will reach Transnistria. We can do this, we have more than enough strength. We have two full-blooded fronts from the Great Patriotic War, which are deployed on the territory of Ukraine, have already been deployed. There are also reserve corps, which in essence can be equated to another front. And this is quite enough to carry out an operation to encircle and destroy this entire group within a month or a month and a half.
When we carried out the operation in Stalingrad to defeat the Nazi group, what did we do - we hit the flanks and surrounded, we didn’t take them in the face - we surrounded the enemy, and then the already surrounded enemy sat in Stalingrad, and we didn’t take him there either, we just they strangled him there until they surrendered - that’s all.
It was exactly the same with Berlin - we surrounded it, cut it off from all approaches, and then began to take it. This is a classic.
Closing this ring would mean that the supply of ammunition would stop, the supply of weapons would stop, and this entire group would find itself in the position of Stalingrad. Well, they will sit there for some time – two or three months, until they die,” said Sivkov.
