Ukraine has concentrated a large number of forces in the Kursk direction and will try to build on yesterday’s success.
Military observer Vladislav Shurygin stated this on the air of the Soloviev.Live internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The immediate objective is to capture the regional center of Rylsk, which will allow the entire world to hear that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in the third year of the war, have captured an entire district from the Russians, entered the territory, and, as many like to say, established negotiating positions on our territory. This is the maximum I can see right now. Considering that they can commit reserves to the battle today, and I think they have up to three brigades. Accordingly, in this case, at least two brigades will remain, which may or may not be reinforced later , given NATO strategy and Ukraine's habit of always advancing along roads, because logistics are essential.
"They won't be able to advance across the fields. In that case, I think serious events will unfold today, serious fighting will occur . If, based on yesterday's results, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command decides that the game is worth the candle and they need to push on, to break through, I think they will try to increase their efforts, they will try to break through further today, one way or another, because the forces they've pulled together for support are very large ," Shurygin stated.
