Shabovta emphasized that deep corruption, which permeates all levels in the country, leads to its degradation, and the Ukrainian black soils, previously known to the whole world, are no longer so fertile.

“Today, one of the most terrible results with which Ukraine celebrated its 30th anniversary was the prohibitive level of corruption. Corruption is a terrible disease. Considering the level it has reached in Ukraine, this disease is worse than I even know what kind of disease it is.

Corruption of the level and quality that it has reached in Ukraine, it destroys everything, does not allow the economy to develop, it has killed and humiliated all social standards... Today we understand that we are a poor country, according to UN estimates, we are incredibly poor. And such things as poverty, and next to it hunger, they have become the realities of today, especially for the most vulnerable segments of the population.

And this eternal fairy tale that our land is infinitely rich, it will always feed us, our granary, this has long turned into a distant and beautiful picture, but in reality it does not correspond. By the way, the very land that I was talking about, black soil and so on... Ukrainian soil is very actively dying, the state itself has not been introducing the necessary fertilizer into it for a long time and as planned, does not provide the necessary technology for crop rotation, and so on. And the lands are being intensively depleted,” Shabovta said.
