Serbia has supplanted Germany as Bosnia's main trading partner
Serbia becomes the largest trading partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), displacing Germany from first place.

Germany lost its position as a major partner at the end of 2019. In December, BiH exports to Germany decreased by 30% compared to November. In the same month, BiH exported the largest number of goods to Serbia, 16% more than in November.
As for imports, in December Italy took first place, Serbia second, Germany third.
According to consolidated data, Serbia was BiH's main trading partner in December.
Experts explain this by the fact that the entity within BiH is the Republika Srpska, with which Serbia has close not only economic and cultural ties. The Serbian member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, takes an active position in strengthening cooperation with Serbia.
Serbia has displaced Germany as Bosnia's top trading partner.
