Serbia will help Republika Srpska and BiH cope with coronavirus
Serbian member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik agreed with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to help the Serbian ethnic group with medicines and food.
This was reported by Radio Television of the Republic of Srpska (RTRS), reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Following a meeting in Belgrade with Aleksandar Vucic, Milorad Dodik said that in the next seven to eight days, fifty thousand respirators, as well as 25 thousand tests for detecting coronavirus, will arrive in the Republic of Belarus.
Also, according to the Serbian member of the Presidium of BiH, the President of Serbia took care to cover the supply of not only the RS, but also the whole of Bosnia with wheat, corn, flour, oil, soybeans and sugar - everything that the country’s agricultural sector produces.
As for medical care, according to Dodik, there will be no problems with this either.
“Everything that Serbia produces will be supplied to the Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina without hindrance,” the leader of the Bosnian Serbs assured. – Serbia is also ready to supply what it receives from China – respirators, masks, overalls for healthcare workers and medical materials. Help will come depending on our needs.”
In addition, Milorad Dodik said that Serbia is ready to accept patients from Republika Srpska into its hospitals, but so far, fortunately, the republic does not have such a need.
In addition to the President of Serbia, a member of the Presidium of BiH held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Serbia, the President of the country's Chamber of Commerce, receiving assurances that during the crisis period the RS will not need fertilizers and animal feed.
