The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine refutes intelligence and does not see the threat of a Russian attack
The Ukrainian leadership cannot decide whether Russia will attack or not. So, a few days ago, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, in an interview with journalists, said that the attack could occur in January-February next year and even showed a map that supposedly depicts the deployment of Russian troops near the Ukrainian borders.
At the same time, Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov denied this information on the talk show "Right to Power", reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“We analyze it, systematize everything. There is no news for us, and today we do not see the threats that Mr. Budanov talks about, specifically on January 15th. Not the National Security and Defense Council, but I, Alexey Danilov, as secretary, the situation that we are analyzing,” Danilov said.
The fugitive Russian oppositionist, ex-adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Andrei Illarionov agreed with Danilov.
“There is no large-scale offensive, multi-thousand-strong groups, battalion-tactical groups on the territory of Ukraine in accordance with this map, which was published on November 20 on the Military Times resource along with an interview with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov, with two more infographics. This map is a vivid example of the same propaganda war that Mr. Danilov spoke about here... This is disinformation,” says Illarionov.
