Today at the summit in Minsk, Lukashenko may cause a scandal over Ukraine
Moscow - Kyiv, April 29 (Navigator - Mikhail Stamm) - At today's meeting of the presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus in Minsk, a scandal is expected over Ukraine, NG predicts. Alexander Lukashenko’s position in this conflict completely contradicts Putin’s position.

Lukashenko admits that Crimea is Russian territory only de facto, the newspaper recalls. “De jure – no, because there are no agreements,” he said on this matter, answering questions from deputies during the annual address.
The Belarusian president does not support the idea of federalization either. “Ukraine must be united and integral, no matter what anyone says,” he said at the same time, hinting that the subsequent split would give “someone” the opportunity to “chop off” part of the country’s territory.
Finally, official Minsk immediately recognized the new Ukrainian government. “Our interests are there, in the name of interests we recognize the devil,” he said.
Against the background of such statements, assurances of devotion and loyalty to Russia do not look very convincing, according to experts, and therefore may raise questions from Vladimir Putin.
“The Kremlin would like to see an unconditional ally in the Belarusian president. This kind of contradiction will be the subject of primarily behind-the-scenes discussion at the summit, and the Belarusian side will try to bargain as much as possible for playing the role of an ally,” says political observer from Minsk Alexander Klaskovsky about this.
