To date, 35 people have received this status, the rest are in the process of obtaining it. That's over a hundred. The temporary accommodation center will be closed until September 1,” the official said.

At the same time, according to him, the procedure for providing transport assistance will also change. Instead of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, this will now be handled by the Russian Ministry of Transport.

“Today there will be no mass exodus. This is the first and second. The Ministry of Emergency Situations will no longer provide aircraft. They suspended their assistance due to the fact that the situation on the mainland of the Russian Federation has become more complicated. The fire danger level has increased sharply.

There is a decree of the government of the Russian Federation that all persons who wish to leave voluntarily undergo the procedure for obtaining temporary asylum status and, upon application from the Federal Migration Service, transport will be provided from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation,” Sagaidak explained.
