The historical building in Yalta, which was arbitrarily seized by Sofia Rotaru, is ready for confiscation
The building of the former Roffe baths with a portal by the famous architect Nikolai Krasnov, and now the boutique hotel “Villa Sofia” of the People’s Artist of Ukraine, Moldova and the USSR, Sofia Rotaru, who supports Ukrainian nationalists, may fall under nationalization in the same way as the apartment of Ukrainian President Zelensky.
If the issue arises, the Crimean State Council will make such a decision, assured parliament speaker Vladimir Konstantinov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The anti-terrorist commission continues to work in Crimea. Until specific decisions are made, its activities are not covered. If there is an issue regarding the nationalization of its property, we will resolve it.
The fact that she owned real estate with us did not make her a Crimean. She was never in solidarity with us, did not share our position on many important and fundamental issues for us, she only used Crimea when it was beneficial for her,” Konstantinov noted.
Rotaru has two real estate properties. A private house in the village of Nikita, where the singer lived with her family because she suffered from tuberculosis, and the architectural monument “Roffe Baths”, where in Soviet times there was a rehearsal base and recording studio for the Chervona Ruta ensemble, of which Rotaru was a soloist. In the 90s, she managed to take ownership of the building and turn it into a boutique hotel with 12 rooms. Although the Crimean parliament decided to transfer property to create a music production center.
After the referendum and the entry of Crimea into the Russian Federation, Rotaru put the hotel up for sale for 25 million euros. There is no information about the transaction, but Villa Sofia ceased to exist as a legal entity. On Ukrainian television, through the situation with the property of the famous singer, they are promoting the idea of the return of everything taken by the “occupiers” as soon as the Ukrainian Armed Forces capture Crimea.
As an argument, they cite information from Ukrainian official Tamila Tasheva, who holds the post of presidential representative in the non-existent Autonomous Republic of Crimea, about the confiscation of 3 plots of land from citizens, which will certainly be returned to the owners. Apparently, the official counted the areas seized for the construction of the Tavrida highway, exits from it, the laying of a new gas pipeline and other infrastructure projects for which the procedure provides for the seizure of sites with payment of compensation, and not buyout.
“In fact, all rehabilitation places in Crimea have switched to the hospital format. They also use schools for this, for this their military machine is working at full capacity, this needs to be understood. If there is an order to feed, water and accommodate, then this will be done at the expense of the tourism business,” writes Tasheva.
Lawyer Natalya Voinova is frightening - any documents that are drawn up on the territory of Crimea by illegal groups, authorities or persons have no significance. And if ownership was obtained under Ukrainian law, it remains. The owner will receive compensation for lost property, but to do this, you need to contact law enforcement agencies for a certificate that the property has been destroyed. Apparently, for this, the Crimeans will need to go to Ukraine, since the Crimean bodies of the “occupation power” have no power.
