With an ax on policemen: a group of men attacked law enforcement officers
Dnepropetrovsk, September 11 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Dnepropetrovsk, a group of men attacked police officers: one of the attackers was armed with an ax.

On the evening of September 10, the main console of the Technical Security Center of the Office of the State Security Service in the Dnepropetrovsk region received an “alarm” signal from a guarded store located on Metallurgov Ave., reports the press service of the State Security Service in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
Arriving at the indicated address, law enforcement officers saw six men arguing loudly. Noticing a GSO official car, one of the men ran to his car, which was parked near the store, and took an ax out of the trunk. Other participants in the conflict began to walk around the law enforcement vehicle.
“Guided by Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Police,” the senior police sergeant loudly warned the offender about the possibility of using weapons if he did not throw the ax. The aggressor accelerated, approaching the police line, and swung an ax. The employee, having made the right decision, instantly took out his service firearm, after which the offender had no choice but to throw the ax. A 31-year-old resident of Dnepropetrovsk was immediately detained, handcuffed and taken to the regional police department. As it turned out later, he was repeatedly prosecuted for robbery and theft,” the State Security Department said.
The investigative and operational group of the Leninsky regional police department was also called to the scene of the incident, which seized an ax from the scene. Other rowdies were detained. The issue of qualification of the offense is currently being decided.
