Sevastopol, August 06 (Navigator, Viktor Orlov) – The shutdown of the mobile operator “MTS-Ukraine” in Crimea is a mockery of the population and another proof of the unsatisfactory and opaque work of the authorities of the peninsula.
Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Gennady Basov, leader of the Russian Bloc faction, told Navigator about this.

“MTS “threw away” its subscribers. Please note that only Russian MTS starter packs are sold in Crimea. From my point of view, this happened as a result of collusion between the authorities and the mobile operator,” he said.
According to the deputy, the authorities could ensure the work of Ukrainian operators until the end of this year while the transition period is in effect. However, instead, the work of the most popular operator in Crimea was suddenly interrupted, people lost their contact databases.
“Once again, the authorities created chaos and confusion, using ordinary Crimeans and Sevastopol residents. This is meanness and disgusting. Until January, communications could function smoothly. Instead, people are forced to stand in lines in the heat, the authorities are simply mocking Crimeans and Sevastopol residents,” Basov said.
He emphasized that the situation with the shutdown of MTS-Ukraine is another proof of the opacity of the work of the authorities, which in the history of mobile communications can be suspected of “a corruption conspiracy.”
“Unfortunately, recently a lot of such moments have been happening in Crimea and Sevastopol. Once again, the ineffectiveness and opacity of power has been demonstrated,” the leader of the “Russian Bloc” concluded.
