“The Russians stole our toilets too!” – Bulgarian media became infected with Russophobia of “independent” savages
A scandal is breaking out in Bulgaria related to the Russian Consulate General closed in the city of Rusa.
A year after Bulgarian authorities expelled Russian diplomats from there, it was "discovered" that they allegedly took doors and sinks with them, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

In the building of the Russian Consulate General in the Bulgarian city of Rusa, which has been empty since June 2022, a “pogrom” was suddenly discovered.
The Russian diplomats living there left the country after the Bulgarian authorities decided to deport 200 employees of our embassy, and the consulate itself was closed.
And so, in the first days of January of this year, the architect of the building, built in 1985, Ventsilav Iliev, unexpectedly decided to see how things were going in it after the permanent inhabitants left it (from the very beginning, Soviet and then Russian people lived and worked in the building diplomatic workers).

“Yesterday I decided to go and see what was happening. And I was surprised that the doors had disappeared, I thought that the municipality had dismantled them. Everything on the second floor, where the apartments are located, was taken. There weren’t even faucets or sinks.”
Also, according to Iliev, who, according to his own statement, has not been to the consulate since 1985, there was no furniture, kitchen equipment or cabinets in the building, that is, what “few people would think of taking home.”

“A legal commission should be created to review all concluded lease agreements for this property. It belongs to the residents of Rusa. It's time to give it meaning and new purpose.
So that the building stops looking like a bastion - with watchtowers, guards, barbed wire, people feel fear when they pass by it. It symbolizes the Russian Federation and continues to symbolize it in a similar way throughout Europe. I would recommend that the Russian Federation take the neighboring Monument to the Soviet Army and take it away too,” municipal councilor Deyan Gerasimov commented on the situation to the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
The most interesting thing is that last year no one observed Russian diplomats leaving and flying to Russia hugging toilets and doors. Most likely, the premises were vandalized by locals, judging by the fact that the entrance there is unhindered. But, apparently, the Bulgarians’ turn has come, following the Ukrainians, to come up with fables about “wild orcs.”
