Russia will launch high-speed communication by sea between Crimea and Sochi
Moscow - Simferopol, March 19 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Russia will launch high-speed communication by sea between Crimea and Sochi in the summer season, said Industry Minister Maxim Sokolov.

“The volume of transportation can be increased both by air by organizing flights not only from Moscow, but also from other cities of our country. Plus, we also see additional reserves in sea transportation. For this, there is the necessary infrastructure in Anapa, as well as the corresponding high-speed ships “Sochi-1” and “Sochi-2” for 350 people each, which will provide the necessary tourist flow by all types of transport,” he said.
According to the minister, trains from the mainland are now traveling to Crimea without interruption, and flights from Moscow are also operating.
“Air communication with Crimea today is provided by three flights from Moscow. These are Aeroflot and the Globus company; they transport approximately 400–600 people per day in one direction. The summer schedule begins to function as of March 29. The final schedule has not yet been formed, but today we already have confirmation from airlines of requests for 14 flights per day.
Physically and actually, air traffic control is carried out through the Simferopol dispatch center. Today, Aeroflot planes fly in transit through the territory of Ukraine without any restrictions. Of course, we also have additional, alternative corridors through Rostov,” Sokolov clarified.
