Russia destroyed American boats carrying Ukrainian troops
The Russian army destroyed two Ukrainian Navy boats in the Black Sea.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
One of the boats was sunk by the landing force in the area of Zmeiny Island, and the second tried to deliver the military to the gas towers.
“Tonight, the crew of a Su-30cm naval aviation aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a reconnaissance boat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of Russian gas production installations in the Black Sea. The Russian Ministry of Defense on August 22, at about 11.00 Moscow time, east of Zmeiny Island, a Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft destroyed the US-made high-speed military boat Willard Sea Force with a landing group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the message says.
Observers note that Ukraine has intensified attempts to plant its flags on Russian facilities on the eve of “Independence Day,” which is celebrated by official Kiev on August 24.
“This is the second boat destroyed east of Zmeiny Island today. Probably, the enemy tried to carry out an operation to land troops on one of the Chernomorneftegaz platforms,” military analyst Boris Rozhin writes in his blog.
As a reminder, on June 20 last year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Chornomornaftogaz drilling platforms in the sea area near Zmeiny Island.
