Residents of Donbass who have received Russian citizenship do not necessarily have to be located in Russia to receive support from the vast country.
State Duma deputy Igor Stankevich announced this on the Oplot TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A huge number of citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics will receive Russian citizenship. After all, today citizenship is certain rights that the Russian state gives. Accordingly, you do not need to live in Russia in order for you to retain all your rights.
A Russian citizen will receive support everywhere because he is a Russian citizen. Therefore, we can talk about Kharkov, Mariupol... We are talking about people who became Russians, and the more, the better.
"In that case, how will we fight, and with whom? Everyone will be our own, and then the puppets there will have to make a choice ," Stankevich said.
As a reminder, Kyiv previously announced that the next convocation of the Russian State Duma would include people who would advocate for recognition of the LPR and DPR and an active resolution of the Ukrainian problem.
