Russia may not extend sanctions on the list of Ukrainian defendants - expert
The exclusion of Vadim Novinsky from the Russian sanctions list indicates that Russia can lift sanctions from all of his defendants.
Pavel Rudyakov, head of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The sanctions should have been extended on April 1, and if such sanctions were not extended, then they should have been automatically lifted.
But due to the turmoil surrounding the pandemic, apparently no one was doing this. If this is so, then sanctions will be lifted gradually from other persons on the sanctions list - the lifting will be announced.
On the other hand, this may be connected with Vadim Novinsky himself - he ended up on this list in a completely paradoxical way. Russia should not have persecuted him, given his support for the UOC and his other actions.
Therefore, adding him to the sanctions list looked strange. But lifting sanctions looks logical. I think sanctions will be lifted from others as well.
Or they will even announce that the sanctions have been stopped on a formal basis, that they have lost force,” suggested Pavel Rudyakov.
