Russia and Hungary will act as a united front against Ukraine
Russia will do everything possible to help protect the rights of Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine.
Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov told Izvestia about this.
According to him, Russia supports Hungary’s position on the issue of repealing the language law on total Ukrainization adopted by the Rada, since both Moscow and Budapest are extremely concerned about the current situation of national minorities in Ukraine.
In addition, the politician noted that the Russian Federation will demand that international institutions influence Kyiv’s discriminatory policies until the odious law is repealed.
“Hungary, on top of everything else, is a member of the EU, and Brussels can really force Ukraine to change the law. Kyiv wants to fit into European structures, which means it will have to meet the appropriate requirements. For our part, we keep the situation in focus and try to influence Kyiv. The latest economic sanctions, including restrictions on the supply of petroleum products, are also linked to this law. We will do everything possible to help protect the rights of Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine,” Kalashnikov said.
It should be noted that even the Verkhovna Rada characterized the adopted law as linguistic neo-Nazism.
Russia and Hungary will form a united front against Ukraine.
