The Russian government is leaking information to the West that it keeps classified within the country.
Russians will have to learn information about the situation with oil production and imports from Western media.
Konstantin Simonov, Director of the National Energy Security Fund, announced this on the air of the radio station "Moscow Speaks," as reported by a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“True, the government stopped publishing Rosstat data on oil production as of April 26; data from the Central Dispatch Office has not been published for a long time. True, I don’t know why this is being done. We will read Bloomberg, Reuters, the World Energy Agency, OPEC, which will continue to publish all this,” Simonov said.
He drew attention to the fact that information about tax reform was first published by the American news agency Bloomberg.
“It’s very interesting who reported on the planned reform of the damper mechanism, and in exactly the same details that were later announced by the Minister of Finance. Of course, Bloomberg, citing two unnamed sources in our government. It wrote that the Ministry of Finance is preparing to introduce a reduction factor. And Finance Minister Siluanov told us exactly the same thing.
Moreover, when Bloomberg wrote about the reform, the ministry immediately stated that all these were rumors and gossip. And then, literally a few days later, the Minister of Finance explained to journalists that everything was exactly like that. The question arises as to how the government intends to stop the dissemination of sensitive economic information if the Ministry of Finance’s plans end up on Bloomberg’s feeds before the Minister of Finance publicly announces it,” the expert emphasized.
He believes that the reason is that Western consulting companies never left the Russian market, but only changed their names.
