Russian senators urged not to swim in the Sea of Azov in summer
Vice Speaker of the Federation Council Andrei Turchak called on Russian senators to visit the LDPR and the Kherson region in the summer months.
He stated this today at a meeting of the upper house of the Russian parliament.
“Many regions have taken patronage over the territories of Donbass - we invite senators to join the work in these territories to synchronize legislation and organize the work of election commissions. I ask all senators to continue the humanitarian mission.
At the same time, please understand that this is not a vacation or a trip to the resorts of the Azov Sea. You must be prepared to go there not for a few days, but seriously until the result is fully achieved. I ask you to take this seriously and with full dedication,” Turchak warned.
According to him, in recent months, 10 thousand tons of humanitarian supplies, including lumber, have been sent to Donbass. Many senators personally sent technical intelligence equipment. There are 24 humanitarian centers open in the region.

“People need both psychological support and the understanding that we all take this very seriously. I support the proposal that you visit Donetsk and Lugansk not just for show as excursions. These must be serious, well-thought-out agendas: support for local authorities, assistance in organization.
You know, sometimes they say a lot, but in reality it turns out that a lot of things are wrong. We need to check, connect and find out what exactly is needed: construction materials, medicines, how children are being prepared for September 1, and so on. This is our serious common task - to establish peaceful life there as quickly as possible,” Matvienko said
