Russian officers were forced to undress on the border with Ukraine
Russia's withdrawal of its military from the Joint Ceasefire Coordination and Control Center (JCCC) was not a sudden decision.

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin spoke about this in an interview with Kommersant.
“This was not a sudden decision. We sent four notes to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demanding that they stop infringing on the rights of our officers located on Ukrainian territory. Moreover, the JCCC itself was created on the initiative of Kyiv in 2014. It was understood that representatives from Donetsk and Lugansk would also work in this center, but in 2015 Kyiv rejected them. And later he began to humiliate our officers. This applies to everyday issues, inspections at the border (even stripping), and human communication. It was impossible to tolerate this, we did not receive any answers to our notes, so a justified decision was made to recall our officers from there,” Karasin said.
He does not exclude the theoretical possibility of Russian officers returning to the JCCC if the Ukrainian side changes its attitude towards them.
“Nothing is impossible in our life, but for this we need to change Kyiv’s position, make sure that the conditions are guaranteed and do not depend on the will of some Ukrainian politician. This should be an internationally approved code of treatment for our officers. I think this is theoretically possible,” said the Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
