Russian admiral: The United States marked the territory of Ukraine, the base in Ochakov is serious

The action on Khreshchatyk on August 24 faintly resembled a military parade. Rear Admiral Vladimir Solovyov, who previously served in the intelligence service of the Black Sea Fleet, told PolitNavigator about this.

“It was not a military parade, but some kind of theatrical demonstration, where one director spoke, and everyone obeyed him. What are these awards during the parade? The parade is an orchestra, formations, equipment. For me, a military man who has seen parades in Moscow, Baku, Sevastopol, the parade in Kyiv is incomprehensible,” Solovyov said.
He believes that the show on Khreshchatyk can be put on a par with the construction of an American military base in Ochakov.
“All statements made indicate that America has infiltrated Ukrainian territory. The fact that NATO troops marched along Khreshchatyk, that a military base will be built in Ochakov, suggests that America has marked the place. The training ground there is very convenient: next to the airfield, the sea, the steppe, where you can turn around. Modern weapons occupy a minimum area, and all this will be near the border with Russia,” Solovyov said.
According to his information, not everyone in Ukraine supports the authorities’ policy of rapprochement with the United States.
“We remember the events in Crimea, when the citizens of Feodosia categorically opposed American troops landing there. They understood: if you come alone, hundreds will come for you. It’s hard to speak out in Ukraine now, but I’ve heard that opinions are mixed,” Soloviev said.
