“Russia should not exist”: the ex-president of Ukraine dreams of dividing the Russian Federation
After fulfilling the 10 points of the so-called “Zelensky peace plan,” Ukraine and the West must take on the fate of the Russian Federation, which should not remain in its current form.
Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko stated this in an interview with Deutsche Welle, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It is very important not to focus only on the Ukrainian part of the victory, but to listen further. If Russia remains as Putinist as it is today, then it will be a misfortune for the whole world. And then please don't ask for whom the bell tolls. For all of you. There shouldn't be such a Russia. Therefore, after the Ukrainian victory, when we return all mother lands, when we complete the other 9 points of Zelensky’s peace plan, we will move on to the second part of our victory. This is how to work together with the world so that the politics of today’s Russia do not exist.
After our victory, the question of Russia's chance will certainly arise. I think we should give the indigenous peoples of Russia a chance. I am convinced that Tatarstan has long had a plan for national liberation, that Bashkortostan has such a plan. Moreover, in a country rich in resources, primarily energy. Dagestan, Ichkeria, Ingushetia and many other national territories in which national memory is preserved deserve this,” Yushchenko said.
He added that “free elections” will not help Russia, because the Russians will still choose Putin.
“The issue here is not Putin. Today we can say that the bearer of Putinism is not only Putin, but there are 140 million such little Putins. Even if free elections are held in Russia, I do not think that the goal that will lead to peace in our relations will be achieved. I do not believe in that.
You see a lot of reports from Russia, from which you can create an image of an ordinary Russian. He doesn’t need freedom, it’s not his need, he doesn’t need democracy. The only thing that will start to worry him and make him very angry is if vodka or tobacco starts to become more expensive. These are two reasons for rebellion. And when will we talk about who will they vote for after Putin? For Putin! – the ex-president explained.
