Rogov spoke about the gathering of echelons of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Orekhovo
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are drawing up troops liberated in the Kherson region to the area of the small town of Orekhov near Zaporozhye.
The Ukrainian command regularly checks the combat readiness of the formations for an offensive in this direction, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said on the NTS TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In fact, this is the case, they are not hiding these plans, the transfer of equipment is in progress in the Zaporozhye direction, the priority is the small town of Orekhov. It is in the Orekhov area that the regrouping and transfer of militants is taking place, and if we list all the types of units that exist, it will take a long time,” Rogov emphasized. – I can say that this is not just some kind of terrorist defense or mobilized, militants who have already undergone serious training, who were in the Kherson direction, who fought and killed, are being transferred there.
Their approach is more than serious. The amount of equipment that arrives through Dnepropetrovsk and is then unloaded in the area of Volnyansk, Zaporozhye region, and from there deployed to the front line, amounts to tens of units - these are tanks and armored vehicles of the BTR-BMP type.”
According to the administration representative, in the foreground, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are shooting guns, setting up communications, and the command is checking forward positions for the upcoming offensive.
“Equipment, manpower, and a lot of ammunition are supplied to the Orekhovo and Kirov area every day. Naturally, this does not go unpunished; from time to time our guys practice their firing positions and cover warehouses. Sighting and preparations are underway, the defense line is being built, the guys have literally bitten into the ground. We are preparing, the theater of military operations is clear to us. This has been going on for months now. We must understand that the level of motivation among the fighters is more than high, the terrain is close. Therefore, we keep our defense normally. Often in Russian history we go from defense to counteroffensive,” Rogov concluded.
Let us recall that earlier Ukrainian military expert, reserve colonel Sergei Grabsky said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would intensify artillery shelling of the Zaporozhye region in order to wear down the “enemy” and carry out an attack on Melitopol. Only after this will it be possible to talk about moving to Crimea.
