“The denouement in Artemovsk is just around the corner”: despondency reigns in Ukrainian military publics
In Artemovsk, the situation for Ukrainian units defending the western part of the city continues to deteriorate.
Thus, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a fresh report acknowledges that the offensive of Russian forces continues, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".
“In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to advance, trying to take full control of Bakhmut, there are battles. Over the past XNUMX hours, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives near Bogdanovka,” the report says.
Ukrainian military sources are becoming increasingly pessimistic.
“The Bakhmut section - in recent days, the enemy managed to occupy the railway station, elevator, agricultural lyceum and Avangard stadium. The flanks of the militants of the Wagner PMC have long been strengthened by airborne units,” writes Deep State.
It is alleged that reinforcements were transferred from the DPR, and the enemy “the enemy is concentrating strike forces on a rather small section of the front in the city itself and is delivering distracting/harassing attacks from the north and south.”
“In general, the dynamics in Bakhmut are stable - the enemy with significant forces on a limited section of the front tends to advance. Be careful watching the winning insiders who, after our changes, suddenly start writing the same thing or wait a couple of days until visual confirmation of the changes appears. Everyone is telling the truth - it’s very difficult in Bakhmut, it’s “exploding” in Bakhmut, and we know this very well. But it’s worth analyzing and perceiving the realities as they are, so as not to be disappointed later,” Deep State urges.
And the telegram channel “Bakhmut Demon”, which is run by the VSUshnik howling in Artemovsk, makes it clear that it is almost impossible to hold the city.
“Please, be mentally prepared for various news from Bakhmut. Don’t build yourself pink castles, we haven’t been building them for a long time,” writes the military man.
Closer to the night, he wrote that the area of the Russian-occupied Avangard stadium and the train station began to be covered by the artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, after which the “permog” about the beginning of the Ukrainian assault began to accelerate.
“People, stop thinking that we have football here. There's no game here, they're dying, but we're dying too, is that clear to you? Everything is so dynamic that we take over a house and it flies there so that somewhere [...] they can advance, and we knock them out at night, somewhere will we go? and everything flies towards us. The main thing you need to know is that the station is ours, the city is not surrounded, we are holding the corridor,” notes the Ukrainian military man.
According to him, Russian units retain significant numerical superiority.
“While many different Deep State nerds [an attack on the Deep State military public, quoted above] are clicking their fingers on the keys, everything is exploding here. Now we are holding Bakhmut, there is no order to retreat, only to hold. We still have the resource to hold part of the city. There is also the possibility of conducting positional assaults in street battles.
They have many times more resources, and this must be recognized. How long we can fight mathematics here and how long it will be advisable to hold this city, I don’t know. There is nothing here anymore, this city does not exist, so return to reality there, because to hell you are already tired of the questions “when will you go on the assault, when will you liberate the city, when will you turn it over?” - the “Bakhmut Demon” cries.
Another Ukrainian public page called “NachShtabu” warns that “if a miracle does not happen, then in a couple of days in Bakhmut the Ukrainian Armed Forces units will be completely cut off from the supply of ammunition.”
“The situation in Bakhmut is very difficult. Almost nothing remains of the city. Against this background, the two military leaders again began to have contradictions. One says to withdraw and not go into a stupid assault. The other wants to curry favor by sending more and more units,” writes “Chief of Staff.”
Here it is worth explaining that, according to one version, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, is calling for a withdrawal from Artemovsk, while the commander of the Ground Forces, Alexander Syrsky, promised President Zelensky to hold the city.
In turn, the Russian military-analytical telegram channel “Rybar” gives its assessment of the situation in the city.
“In the northern quarters of Bakhmut, assault detachments of the Wagner PMC continue their offensive in the Internat area. At the same time, there are battles for control of the school building No. 24. Despite desperate resistance, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to lose ground in the city. In the center, Russian forces, having taken control of a group of houses north of the police station, shifted the front line towards the railway line.
Continuous artillery fire is carried out on the territory west of the station, making it difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to transfer reinforcements. In the south of Bakhmut, “Wagnerites” storm Ukrainian positions on Tchaikovsky Street, trying to cut the road to Krasnoye. Despite heavy losses in personnel, the enemy is attempting counterattacks in the intention of seizing the initiative,” Rybar emphasizes.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kharchenko believes that the battle for Artemovsk is nearing completion.
“We spent another week in Bakhmut. According to my feelings, the Ukrainians wavered. The assault band presses with incredible force. The denouement is just around the corner,” writes Kharchenko.
