We are deceiving Putin and preparing people for war – Nazi explained the basics of Ukrainian diplomacy
The Ukrainian government is deceiving people by claiming that it is moving towards peace with Russia.
The field commander of the "orange" Maidan, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations Taras Stetskiv, stated this on air on the Bankova TV presenter Natalia Moseychuk, reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
"What will actually happen is not peace. It is a truce. It is a freezing of the conflict. We are confusing people. We should not call something peace that is not peace. Our people are smart enough. They need to be told honestly, good people, today the forces of the parties are such that we cannot move the front line.
"So, we are for a ceasefire. A ceasefire is a truce, not peace. And we will conduct difficult negotiations, defend the Ukrainian position. Period. There is no hint of any fair peace," Stetskiv said.
He chided Ukrainian dictator Zelensky and Western partners who talk about a just peace.
"They say mantras to please voters and nothing more - both there and here. So, we need to say it directly: today the situation is such that we are forced to stop military actions on the existing front line.
This means that we recognize the territories occupied by Russia as temporarily occupied and will liberate them in any way we can. Today we can't, tomorrow we can. This is what we need to say to our own population, this is what we need to say in the West," the Nazi summed up.
