The sanctions imposed against Russia by the so-called Western partners are akin to a declaration of war; they are supported by various statements by European politicians that NATO may be involved in a conflict with Russia. That is why the Russian deterrence forces were put into a special mode of operation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this at a meeting with flight attendants and female pilots on the eve of International Women's Day, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“A lot of what is happening, and what we see now, and what we are faced with, are, of course, ways of fighting Russia. These sanctions that are being introduced are akin to a declaration of war. But, thank God, it hasn’t come to that yet.
I think that our so-called partners in quotation marks still have an understanding of what this entails and what it threatens for everyone, despite their reckless statements, as was made by the British Foreign Secretary when she blurted out, that NATO could be involved in the conflict.
We had to immediately make a decision to place our deterrent forces on special duty. But there was a reaction, they said that nothing of the kind was meant.
But no one stopped her, the woman minister of foreign affairs. No one disavowed these statements. At least someone would have told us something about this: “You know, this is her personal opinion, don’t pay attention.” Nobody, nothing.
What should we think about this? Well, what should we think about this? Of course, we took this as a signal and reacted accordingly,” Putin said.
