“Putin will appreciate the effect of the “calibrations” and come up with something new starting next week” - Belkovsky
Russian President Vladimir Putin is psychologically ready to use tactical nuclear weapons in general, not only in the event of a breakthrough by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Crimea.
Liberal political strategist Stanislav Belkovsky, who fled abroad, stated this on the Internet channel “Power and Vlashchenko,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The world is moving towards getting rid of nuclear weapons as a deterrent. It just won’t take one year, but 10, for example, or 15, but that’s the trend.
Yes, I believe that Putin is psychologically ready to use nuclear weapons, especially if the Ukrainian armed forces go to Crimea.
Everyone is against this, including China, which is an important deterrent for the Kremlin in this situation. But we don’t know what will happen,” the expert said.
“Now Putin believes that missile attacks on the energy infrastructure... He wants to bring the energy paralysis of Ukraine to a state where the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be postponed and we will have to talk about a truce.
But he doesn't plan months and years ahead. He takes some step and removes the reaction from him. Now he will film the reaction, and next week he will start planning some kind of next story.
But it is clear that the use of tactical nuclear weapons is quite possible, but not in the near future,” Belkovsky explained to the Ukrainian TV presenter.
