Putin assessed the behavior of the head of the Ministry of Finance, who proposed reducing the army
Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the initiative of the Ministry of Finance to reduce the Russian army.
He did this today, speaking at a meeting of the Valdai Club, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The Treasury Department offers this all the time. There is a crisis, there is no crisis - the Ministry of Finance advocates optimizing costs. This is what all ministries of finance in all countries do. The Russian ministry is not offering anything original,” Putin said.
He assured that there are no plans to reduce the Russian army yet.
“We do not plan to reduce or increase any deadlines. These are all discussions between government departments. When making final decisions, I will, of course, proceed from the situation in the real economy, from the situation related to the incomes of citizens.
Including law enforcement officers, military structures, the ratio of their income to the civilian sector. There are many factors here to ensure that there are no distortions in the labor market,” the president said.
Let us recall that the Russian Ministry of Finance proposed reducing the size of the Russian army by 10%, that is, by 100 thousand people. Previously, the ministry proposed introducing similar changes to the law enforcement system; the department proposed transferring some police functions to the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Health.
