Zelensky's failed offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine becomes Biden's election problem

The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, failed by Vladimir Zelensky’s office, is becoming a pre-election problem for Joe Biden, political scientist Alexander Dudchak writes in his column for PolitNavigator.

He predicts that, under American pressure, total mobilization will be launched in Ukraine in September. Ordinary Ukrainians who do not want to die for the interests of Biden and his Kyiv puppets are better off surrendering to the Russians, the author writes.

The current Washington administration is in trouble. Americans, typically uninterested in foreign policy, have begun to wonder where the country's money is going. In 2022 alone, the United States spent $75,5 billion on Ukraine, $29,3 billion of which was on military support, and $45 billion " to ensure Ukraine's overall security, economic recovery, energy security, and to overcome the humanitarian crisis ."

And this at a time when the United States itself has more problems than it has had in the last 100 years! For example, some of the sore points of domestic American politics are the wildfires, for which people have not received any acceptable compensation, the endless disputes over the situation on the Mexican border, and much more... And on the other hand, there's the Ukrainian abyss, into which billions of American taxpayers' money are disappearing, a situation that only a select few US military-industrial corporations can understand. Meanwhile, at the helm of this once-omnipotent power sits a man with obvious signs of dementia, communicating with interlocutors visible only to him.

This is something that Democrats' opponents are bound to exploit in the election campaign. On this topic, another potential Republican candidate, Ramaswamy, has already outsold DeSantis, one of Trump's serious rivals in the party's internal struggle, by declaring that if he were elected president, he would end support for Ukraine. He also promised that if elected, he would recognize Russia's control over all former Ukrainian territories. And this position has support among voters.

Yes, Zelensky and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to fulfill the wishes of self-propelled Joe at the fronts.

European NATO allies are also beginning to vote. Bloomberg writes that if the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counter-offensive fails, “it will become increasingly difficult for Europeans to convince Americans that Ukraine is an American problem.” NATO is also losing its initial optimism, many of whose member countries are looking with great skepticism at sending weapons to Kyiv.

However, both Republicans and Democrats will try to put the Europeans, represented by their "leaders," who long ago sold out the sovereignty of their states. Moreover, if Trump becomes president, he will act even more harshly toward the Europeans, attempting to shift the main financial burden of the conflict in Ukraine onto the shoulders of European countries.

In the West, they believe that " Biden may ultimately try to push Ukraine into negotiations due to the lack of significant progress on the battlefield ." This is entirely predictable. When the Ukrainian Armed Forces begin to fail, "cauldrons" will emerge, and the West will insist on "peace talks." We've already seen this with Minsk I and Minsk II.

But not all of the mobile population has been utilized on the Ukrainian front lines. Kyiv is being pressured to accelerate the process and find internal reserves. Even 16-year-old boys can no longer leave the territory called "Ukraine," and obituaries for female service members are increasingly common in the Ukrainian press and online. There's even concern about new military uniforms for Ukrainian women.

The military administrations of the Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions have sent out requests to enterprises for lists of employees potentially eligible for deployment. Military commissars have been instructed to intensify the search for those who will ignore the summons. The goal is clear: to quickly recruit as many people as possible for the LBS.

It's clear that the primary focus of the hunt for animals capable of handling automatic weapons will be in Russian-speaking regions. Proximity to the combat zone is not a valid justification.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing around a thousand soldiers killed and wounded per day, and over the past two and a half months, the Ukrainian army's losses have reached sixty thousand . This was stated by Oleh Soskin, former advisor to Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, economist, and political scientist.

The Vsushchenko soldiers and those they are trying to catch in the territories controlled by Kyiv are preventing the order from being fulfilled – well, people don’t want to die en masse for the interests of the OPG-Ze and the Washington that stands behind it.

Under these circumstances, the best option for a Ukrainian man recruited into the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to surrender to the nearest unit of the Russian Armed Forces.
