In his lawsuit, Khilko accused Zelensky’s team of bribing voters on the basis of free distribution of tickets to the debates that took place at the Olympic Stadium, demanding on this basis to cancel the registration.

The court found that Zelensky’s calls to register for tickets to the debates at the stadium do not constitute election promotion.

“The court decided to cancel the decision to register a candidate for the post of President of Ukraine in satisfying the administrative claim of Andrei Khilko against Vladimir Zelensky and the Central Election Commission to establish the fact of bribery of voters and binding the withdrawal,” the judge said.

After the court decision was announced, people in the hall began to applaud and shout “Hurray!”, and everyone was called to leave the hall.

“Come on, because I’m definitely going to snitch on him right now,” one of the visitors – Zelensky’s supporters – said to the plaintiff Khilko.

Khilko himself expressed dissatisfaction with the court's verdict. According to him, in the future, organizers of voter bribery will refer to this decision as a precedent. In addition, Khilko believed that the judge did not take into account all the requirements of the law.

“The judge, when he read the decision, he did not recite one line where it was said that...”, the plaintiff began to explain.

“Where does it say that you are a moron!” - they shouted from the hall.

“...that the candidate is obliged to perform certain actions that encourage voting. Well, that’s the judge’s right,” Khilko continued, hesitatingly.
