Travel on the Kiev metro will rise in price to 12 UAH due to corruption - expert
The Kiev Metro intends to compensate for the reduction in profits due to quarantine at the expense of passengers, while its management does not care about optimizing costs.
Vyacheslav Konovalov, an expert with the public campaign "Euro-Patrol," announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“They will increase it in the range of 10-12 hryvnia. Most likely, they will try to soften the trick by introducing some kind of subscription scheme. Most likely, they will try to squeeze beneficiaries in this way, perhaps they will be monetized with benefits through a Kiev resident card. But corruption schemes most likely will not be eliminated.
Passenger traffic has fallen, and no one wants to pay for it. There is also a story with non-targeted financing. For example, over the past few years I have seen four or five waves of subway turnstile replacements. The question is, was it impossible to install normal turnstiles from the very beginning?” the expert concluded rhetorically.
