“There is a greater influx of Ukrainian applicants to Crimea. And we accept Ukrainian applicants as compatriots. The guys are studying and, frankly, they are trying to settle here in Crimea, which is significant... We have the DPR/LPR, the Kherson region, and even Kyiv. The guys come from completely different parts of Ukraine,” noted the first vice-rector of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University Anzhelika Luchinkina.

Diplomas issued by universities on the peninsula are recognized in the CIS member countries, emphasized Olga Elkan, vice-rector of the Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism.

“We are not dealing with representatives of foreign countries, but rather with representatives of our neighbors. Mostly from the former republics of the former Soviet Union are now present at our university.

The guys are happy to enroll, study and then work. This includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, LPR/DPR, and Uzbekistan.

Moreover, there are special nuances for our applicants. There are states with which we have concluded agreements on the recognition of our educational documents, and then no unnecessary questions arise, but there are cases when it is necessary to legalize and ratify all documents.

For example, children from Uzbekistan must receive a document legalizing their education document in a timely manner, and we accept them with pleasure,” added Elkan.
