The Baltics will completely get rid of Russians - expert
The Baltic states are using the SVO in order to finally resolve the “Russian question” - to get rid of all Russians, even if they have citizenship.
Doctor of Economics and President of the Association of Baltic Studies Nikolai Mezhevich expressed this opinion on the program "Political Section" on "Crimea 24", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

“When it was necessary to attract Russian votes, and there were a little more than half of them in Riga, less than half in Latvia, and a little more than half in Riga, the Latvians told all the Russians: come on, guys, we will naturally give you all the rights! Most importantly, you overthrow these communists together with us, and then there will be our common happiness.
Of course, all this was said before August 19, 1991. And after August 19, already in September, legislation was adopted that deprived all people who were not born or not descended from people born in this territory before 1940 of citizenship. And he introduced an exam in which he had to actually renounce his history, his parents. The Russian majority did not come, and, ultimately, received a residence permit and took Russian citizenship,” he noted.
For some time, the situation seemed acceptable, until the government began to introduce new requirements for citizens with Russian citizenship or even with citizenship of the host country, but ethnically Russian.
“At first, in general, it seemed that everything was fine. And then the situation began to deteriorate, and when a special military operation began, the authorities of Estonia and Latvia, the situation in Lithuania is different, realized that this was their last chance - they needed to clean up the rear and, if possible, deport the Russians.
First, those with a residence permit and a Russian passport, then those without a column. Yes, this is a separate category. Then, of course, those who are simply Russian, although they are citizens of Estonia or citizens of Latvia. Four-stage multi-pass, and they follow this path. And, unfortunately, they can only be stopped by force. And the use of force is now, for obvious reasons, impossible,” Mezhevich concluded.
