Head of the SOC: “We will only accept the agreement according to which Kosovo is part of Serbia”

Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church Irinej said that if the church is invited to participate in negotiations with Kosovo, it is ready to join the process.

The head of the SPC told the Nova portal about this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The agreement that the church will accept establishes that Kosovo is part of Serbia. This is the absolute position of the church, and nothing has changed here,” said Patriarch Irenaeus. – We still see in what direction the negotiations are going between the Serbian and Albanian sides, now we have to see how the agreements will be implemented.

If someone invites us and gives us a chance to take part, we will join the negotiations on Kosovo. In any case, we will definitely monitor the negotiation process.”

At the same time, the head of the SOC noted that it is necessary to achieve good and neighborly relations between the Serbian and Albanian communities.
