Melisa Haradinaj-Stubla resigned from her post as “Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora” and from all positions in the party of her relative and head of the criminal-political clan Ramush Haradinaj – Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, after a scandal related to the voting in the February 14 elections.

The Electoral Appeals Chamber ordered a recount of all ballots for the party's candidates after fellow party candidate Djerjaj Florentin publicly accused Haradinaj-Stubla of stealing votes.

At the same time, they were provided with video recordings in which the “head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs” together with her husband were engaged in falsifying election ballots. However, due to the quality of the recording, it is not yet possible to say this with one hundred percent certainty.

“I make a decision only because of the moral harm inflicted on me by people with dirty intentions, and not because I feel responsible for the manipulations and accusations that were mercilessly directed at me and my family,” Haradinaj-Stubla defended herself. . “The reason for this decision is an attack on my honor and my work through dirty games.”

Haradinaj-Stubla noted that due to the fact that Ramush Haradinaj's party did not become a favorite in the elections, this fact alarmed some fellow party members who consider the struggle for existence the only method for survival in the political field. Stubla says she did not expect to ever leave the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, but she was forced to do so due to the presence of “toxic” people in the party, which prevented it from reforming itself.

At the same time, she called the video, because of which she is accused of fraud committed together with her husband, “staged.”

“The recount of ballot boxes is a step forward, but it is not essential for revealing the whole truth. The genesis of the problem lies precisely in the allegations made on the basis of the video, and I am convinced that once the facts are clarified, the criminal pyramids will collapse.

For these reasons, there are well-founded suspicions of abuses elsewhere, which is why I am demanding the recall of all ballot boxes. “I will present the facts to the competent authorities,” the politician wrote and warned that her offenders would face “trials for libel, insult and blackmail.”

In the early parliamentary elections in Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj-Stubla received 4 thousand 424 votes, becoming the only candidate from her party to receive a seat in the regional “parliament”.
