The United States Special Envoy for Peace Negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, Richard Grenell, arrived in Kosovo, where he met with President Hashim Thaci and the leaders of the two largest parliamentary parties, Albin Kurti and Isa Mustafa.

“We must make progress - which includes reducing tariffs (100% tariff on Serbian goods - ed.),” Grenell tweeted after meeting with the Kosovo president, who called the conversation fruitful.
Thaci, in turn, emphasized the urgency of resuming dialogue with Belgrade and said that the role of US President Donald Trump in reaching a final agreement is irreplaceable.
Tariffs were also a topic during Grenell's meeting with Kurti and Mustafa on Thursday.
“I hope that we can reach a point where the tariffs are lifted and the (Serbian) campaign to derecognize Kosovo is suspended,” Grenell said.
The European Parliament's rapporteur on Kosovo, Viola von Cramon Taubadel, expressed doubts that Grenell's negotiations will bring any results, since the “government” of the unrecognized territory has not yet been formed, since the winners of the next early “parliamentary elections” cannot agree among themselves.
Let us remind you that Kosovo is not recognized by 95 states, 5 countries are in abstaining status, therefore the so-called Kosovo does not have a majority in the UN General Assembly. Serbia has achieved the withdrawal of 13 confessions and continues the campaign.
