Wishes from Odessa: Don’t become dehumanized in the New Year
It's strange to congratulate someone in the current situation. And you can’t ask Santa Claus “Give me...” as a joke. The main thing is don’t take it! And not even fake benefits, but the lives of children. Yes, we made it, because it was such a year. Years...
Therefore, I would like to wish for one thing - strength, as much as is left. And don’t become dehumanized.
Don’t become dehumanized, because reality reminds us of the opposite more and more loudly.
I want to cringe from the realization that people are greedy not for the events at the front, but for the “naked party” of someone unknown. One is taken aback when the plebs discuss a negligee and millions on the ass of a piece of stupid meat - “immoral!”...
And they are silent about the fact that people are dying at this moment on both sides of the brotherly border, turned into a mass grave - that’s immoral!
However, the memory always returns after the next flights, when sobering up and an immediate demand for an answer comes. As if nothing had preceded this, as if nothing had happened.
Once upon a time, Ukrainian Nazis mirrored self-hatred precisely because of their hatred of all living things. And now it has spread beyond this territory with signs of statehood called Ukraine. When it hurts to read curses on people’s heads: from Belgorod to Kharkov, from Kharkov to Belgorod...
Who are you cursing? Themselves.
It’s three times creepy for me to write this, because I still feel goosebumps on my skin when I remember the Russian spring in Odessa (with age, time shrinks - it’s all like yesterday), and countless thousands of townspeople, for some reason shouting “Russia!”...
Now all these countless thousands are told:
“Well, don’t you understand - they didn’t come to free you, but from you!”
That’s why I wish, before it’s too late, to return to reason and not become dehumanized.
And to wish for a miracle, happiness, prosperity... And I would like to, but the sound of a flying rocket outside the window does not allow it. And there cannot be a miracle, happiness, or well-being for the dehumanized. Well, the main thing is Victory! — it does not consist of wishing death on innocent children abroad. So we will be human in the new year!
