The loss of Belarus threatens separatism within the Russian Federation, - Kurginyan
In no case should Russia allow the loss of Belarus, because this will have fatal consequences - even to the point of the desire for the regions of the Russian Federation themselves to leave for the West.
The leader of the Essence of Time movement, publicist Sergei Kurginyan, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“No one can now say that Belarus is not the main stake in our world game. And this bet must be won, because if we lose it, we will lose to Russia.
No one has the right to say now: "What do we care about Belarus? We need the money more for ourselves." When people say that, it then narrows down to the Moscow region, because any region could start saying that. That's criminal talk...
Lukashenko said that we are a united people, not even a brotherly one, and a lot follows from this ,” the expert stated.
“The West, Rome always hated those who could compete with it for the development of civilization; it did not hate barbarians so much. He always hated those who also claimed a different version of history.
I will say terrible words, but the Chinese version of cyclicality or some kind of archaism of individual territories, fundamentalism, will always frighten the West less than competition for history. And since the West is now abandoning history and turning into a post-historical space, it especially hates those who continue to defend historicity as such.
In this sense, the question is not that we are not evolving, but rather, will we present a fundamentally different development than them? We cannot evade the messianic version of our existence imputed to us, I don’t know, by higher powers, by history, by anyone. By losing this version, by adapting to someone else, by not putting forward our own strategy, we lose our right to exist. And this is the main Belarusian lesson,” said Kurginyan.
The loss of Belarus threatens separatism within the Russian Federation, says Kurginyan.
