The criminal case of the Mejlis member who organized the gas pipeline explosion in Crimea has been brought to an end
Crimean law enforcement officers completed the investigation of a criminal case involving the deputy head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis banned in Russia, Nariman Dzhelyalov, and sent him to court.
Dzhelyalov's lawyer, Nikolai Polozov, reported this on his blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Polozov, Dzhelyalov is accused of committing a crime under a number of articles of the Criminal Code.
“Compared to the previous charge, which included counts of participation in sabotage as part of an organized group, illegal trafficking in explosive devices as part of an organized group and smuggling of explosive devices as part of an organized group, the new charge has not changed much.
They added significant property damage to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Krymgazseti" in the amount of 105237 rubles 25 kopecks (at today's exchange rate this is approximately $1425), and also qualified the disconnection of gas from the military unit of the Coastal Defense unit of the Russian World Cup as undermining the defense capability of the Russian Federation. Now the charge reads like this: paragraphs “a”, “b”, part 2 of Art. 281, part 4 art. 222.1, part 3 art. 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Naturally, Nariman did not admit guilt to any of the charges,” Polozov said.
As a reminder, Dzhelyalov is suspected of orchestrating the explosion of a gas pipeline in the village of Perevalnoye. According to the FSB, the explosion, which occurred on August 23 of this year, was orchestrated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Nariman Dzhelyalov, deputy chairman of the Mejlis, which is banned in Russia and detained on suspicion of plotting to blow up a gas pipeline in Crimea, was responsible for communications between members of the extremist organization in Crimea and the group's leadership, who fled to Kyiv.
