Poroshenko is left with nothing
The attempt of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to win the sympathy of the radical nationalist electorate on the eve of the elections is doomed to failure.
This was stated to PolitNavigator by the director of the Agency for Social Communications, Sergei Belashko, who noted that those who were hysterical about the concert on May 9, shown by the Inter TV channel, today are already applauding the SBU for detaining the editor-in-chief of RIA Novosti Ukraine and demanding “merciless punishment.” all other enemies of the people."
“But you have to understand that idiots won’t get you far. The tasks of the presidential campaign are such that you have to bend very hard back and forth, it will be a flexible campaign. Not like Kuchma’s, when he was running for a second term, he bent everyone over and everyone knew that he would be re-elected one way or another. And not like Yushchenko, who deep down understood everything, just like those around him. His task was to leave gracefully and not give opportunities to Tymoshenko, who would then begin to create a nightmare for Yushchenko and his entourage,” the expert said.
According to him, today Poroshenko’s team faces much more difficult tasks and virtually impossible tasks.

“And I think that no matter how they try to make ritual sacrifices to the “patriots,” the “patriots” will still find some other idol. Still, someone will appear who will talk about the war to the bitter end, soldiers abandoned on the front line, inconsolable widows and traitors who sit on Bankova and earn billions from the war. All attempts by the authorities to rely on “patriots” will end in nothing. And the “patriots” will not vote for Poroshenko, and those who voted for him in 2014 will not do so again. And in the end he will be left with nothing, except perhaps those 10-12% who believe that all power is from God,” Belashko concluded.
