Moscow – Kyiv, May 28 (Navigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – MK reporters in Slovyansk describe horrific scenes of war. According to them, the fields around the city are strewn with corpses eaten by dogs, which no one is removing for fear of being fired upon by Ukrainian troops and Polish mercenaries. Residential neighborhoods are being shelled with howitzers and mortars. The National Guard says this is only the beginning; the real shelling of the city will begin in the next two to three days.

In a field constantly under fire near Andreyevka, where an Italian journalist and a Russian translator died, there lie two corpses of Ukrainian reporters, about whom no one writes. They were thrown into the middle of the field by the explosion. They can’t get them out yet: there is constant mortar fire, snipers are working, the field is literally dug up by shells, there are unexploded mines.
They say that yesterday the militia found a burial place of Ukrainian soldiers behind Avdiivka. All the corpses were naked, already eaten by dogs.
“Yesterday, the residential microdistrict of Artyom was shot at by direct fire from howitzers and mortars,” says local resident Alexey. – Four were killed, several more were injured. All are civilians. An elderly woman went out to the store to buy bread and remained lying on the sidewalk with an empty bag and a 5 hryvnia note clutched in her hand. A very young boy lay down nearby. His entire shirt was covered in blood. Another girl had her arm torn off. Why were they killed? There is not a single intact glass left in the nine-story buildings on Artyom. There are no militia posts in this microdistrict. They beat with fire from Mount Karachun, on which mercenaries from Poland stand. Our local guys heard them talking to each other in Polish.”
On the way out of Slavyansk, soldiers from the National Guard say that they received an order: to let cars out of the city and not to let anyone into the city. They say: “Should you go back? Yesterday there was only shooting. They will really start bombing in the next three days.”
