This was stated by the Minister of Defense, Army General of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak at an international conference in London, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“From 146 thousand, the Armed Forces of Ukraine increased to 250 thousand. In addition, a powerful operational reserve of more than 130 thousand people has been created,” Poltorak said.
He added that the ministry has significantly improved military field medicine and the evacuation system, created a network of military hospitals, and organized training for six battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces according to NATO standards.
“We managed to organize the training of six battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces according to NATO standards, create Special Operations Forces, develop relevant programs, improve the system of effective logistics, training of military command and control bodies, units and units of the Ukrainian Army.” - said the minister.
“We clearly understand that it is necessary to continue reforms. For this, we have the appropriate experience, potential and international support,” Poltorak emphasized.
