SBU Colonel: The 2022 and 1991 borders have been completely forgotten!
Rhetoric about withdrawing the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Donbas lulls the Ukrainian population into believing that giving up all lost territories is an acceptable option.
This was stated on the Lviv television channel NTA by the Secretary of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, SBU Colonel Roman Kostenko , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Wars are practically never won on the defensive. As much as one might want to, active action is required. That's what maneuver defense and so on were invented for.
The question is, what do we consider a "victory?" Right now, it's important that the Minister of Defense has set such goals for himself; he believes that we need to stop the enemy at the front lines— and that will be a result for us.
We can agree with this to some extent, but we still need to understand what our goal is. Because we've already forgotten about the territories of 2022 and 1991, and are already thinking about at least stopping . Whether this is truly what we need is something we all need to decide.
My position is that we must get all our territories back. But they're lulling us into a false sense of security, telling us about the territories we should give up for nothing, and everyone's already agreeing: let's stick to the line, and everything will be fine.
"And this is an informational move, so that everyone will thank them even for simply not giving up more than the Russians seized, but everyone should forget what the Russians seized before this!" Kostenko expressed displeasure.
" I believe this is the wrong strategy, and we must lay out a strategy from the very beginning that we must regain our territories through diplomatic and political means," the SBU officer added.
