The police raided the home of a pensioner who was walking around with a poster about “Poroshenko’s parachute”
Law enforcement agencies searched the home of a retired Ukrainian nationalist who appeared at rallies with offensive posters addressed to Petro Poroshenko.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Semyon Semenchenko wrote about this on his Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Friends, Maidanists, Ukrainians! The search of a true patriot, Lyudmila Mavrina, born in 1952, has ended. They are accused of attempting to kill law enforcement officers, under Article 348 Part 1 from 8-15 years. They looked for weapons, since none were found, and they confiscated the posters with which she had gone to protests and a computer. This woman is a true patriot, a person with a capital P, who was arrested by the KGB twice. She spent six months in a basement on Vladimirskaya and almost gave birth to a son there.
In her youth, while studying at one of the Kyiv universities, without fear of Soviet power, she read and distributed among young people the poems of Ukrainian patriots, one of whom was Vasyl Stus. For this she was expelled from her 3rd year at the university, but the struggle did not end there.
She went through the entire Maidan, from beginning to end, many Maidan supporters know her, she took part in all peaceful protests, and also visited the Verkhovna Rada more than once along with those who stood for a free, integral state. She recently suffered a heart attack, but this did not stop law enforcement agencies; they still conducted a search,” Semenchenko said.
