Biden's party can drain the budget for Ukraine, but in words continue to pump up support for Kyiv
The US Democratic Party, in order to stabilize its position before the presidential election, may abandon demands to allocate funds to Ukraine, but will not abandon Ukraine as a political project of the “collective Biden.”
This position was voiced on air by RIAC expert Evgeniya Voiko on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If you look at preliminary opinion polls, Trump is still in the lead. The Democrats, apparently, are trying to more or less keep the situation afloat and, through discussion of the budget, still continue to “pump up” the topic of Ukraine. Moreover, this is such a system-forming factor for the “collective Biden.” They probably don’t have many bright projects, but Ukraine was a working option until recently.
Now they are trying to give some relief: if it doesn’t work out with the allocation of money, then let’s lobby, at least in the media, for some respite, either freezing the conflict, or a truce, or signing some kind of peace agreements,” the expert explained.
Publications in some Western media that Ukraine’s strikes on Belgorod could result in the cessation of Western allies’ support for Kyiv, according to Voiko, only mean the Democrats’ readiness to retreat from the topic of financing.
“I think that, at least in the media space, it may sound that since this money is spent not on combat operations, but on attacks on civilians, then, accordingly, there may be less money. Belgorod could be an excuse, or a similar one, God forbid, a plot.
But the main idea lies much deeper. Now the United States has entered an active election campaign, and accordingly, there is a struggle on this track. And in order to somehow explain, determine, primarily in the public space, a reduction in spending, I admit that these stories can also exist.
And here the French media in general are really predicting a very possible scenario. Although the French Foreign Ministry stated that the strike on Belgorod is a legitimate defense for Ukraine. And within the French political community there are different approaches to how to assess Ukraine’s attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation,” says Voiko.
