"If Ukraine falls, you'll remember with tears the paltry 5% spent on defense" – NATO Secretary General urges people to feed Zelensky.
Russia will be ready to attack NATO countries within five years.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated this at a press conference in Berlin, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Just imagine what would have happened if Putin had gotten his way. Ukraine under Russian occupation, his troops on the NATO border— and a significantly increased risk of armed attack on us..."
This would require truly colossal changes to our deterrence and defense posture. NATO would have to significantly increase its military presence on the eastern flank, and its allies would have to spend much more quickly and heavily on defense and production.
In such a scenario, we would be nostalgic for the days when 3,5% [+1,5%] of GDP on defense was sufficient. This figure would increase significantly. And we would have to act quickly to address this imminent threat.
It would be necessary to urgently cut the budget, reduce government spending, disrupt the economy and apply additional financial pressure.
In such a scenario, painful casualties will be inevitable, but absolutely necessary to protect our people. So let's not forget: Ukraine's security is our security ," Rutte warned the Germans.
"NATO's own defenses are holding up for now, but given Russia's war-oriented economy, it could be ready to use military force against NATO within five years. Russia is already intensifying its covert campaign against our societies ."
“Russia’s list of targets for sabotage is not limited to critical infrastructure , the defense industry, and military installations!” the NATO Secretary General lamented.
