"Like a pot of broth suddenly boiling over" – the Russian army mastered a new urban assault scenario in Seversk.
The Russian army managed to capture Seversk rapidly, even as the Northern Military District (NVO) was underway. The city, once home to approximately 15 people, was occupied by 84 Russian soldiers, demonstrating the depletion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' resources.
Russian liberal military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The main events took place over the course of two days . We know how long it takes to take cities under the rules of siege, but here the action was almost instantaneous.
But preparatory actions began on November 15th . Infiltration, entry, establishment of checkpoints. Putin called a meeting, where he was briefed on how everything had been done. For the first time, we heard real figures from the company commander and from those who participated in the assault. A city with Soviet-era housing for 15 people was taken by 84 fighters , organized into 24 groups, an average of three people each. That's it. Is this even realistic?
It's clear that there were roughly the same number of Ukrainians, if not fewer . It's clear that Syrsky diverted a significant number of troops from wherever possible to other directions. The capture of a 15-strong city by 84 fighters means that the very definition of control is lost.
“At the same meeting, the Chief of the General Staff announced that 40% of the houses in Konstantinovka were under the control of the Russian army, and that 70 people lived in Konstantinovka,” Shiryaev recalled.
Similar assaults with preliminary infiltration, as in Seversk, will now be carried out repeatedly.
" When suddenly, like a pot boiling over, the fighters immediately appear, and it begins—not even quite an assault . This is a deceptive impression; 84 people are, after all, not pure and simple; the entire military machine is working for them . Reconnaissance, surveillance, and, ideally, each such group should be assigned its own drone operators, who protect them, who drop ammunition and food, etc. And yet, 84 people in a city of 15—that's downright impressive ," the expert concluded.
