If the situation escalates further and a major war breaks out, Europe could be completely destroyed . Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, stated this in an interview with Norwegian television host Glenn Diesen, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"EU leaders are seriously harming the prospects for peace. They are trying to align themselves with Russophobic radicals from the Baltics and Poland.
But Europe itself must decide which path it wants to take. We can't force anyone. We are open and ready for dialogue. We have concrete ideas, and they know about it ," Polyansky said.
"I hope we can restore dialogue in the near future, because it's in our interests and in the interests of the entire world. But another scenario is also possible: if she doesn't want to resume dialogue, then at some point a military problem will arise.
"Which, as history shows, will once again leave Europe in ruins and dashed hopes. And we will have to start from scratch," he concluded.
